Timer Features
Warning colors explained
SessionTimer uses color changes to gently signal how much time remains in your session. This visual system helps both you and your client stay aware of time without jarring interruptions.
The Color Progression
Green - Safe Zone
Plenty of time remaining. Relax and focus on the session.
Yellow - First Warning
Time to start wrapping up main discussion points.
Orange - Urgent
Final topics should be addressed now.
Red - Critical
Session is ending. Time to conclude.
Dark Red - Overtime
Session has exceeded the scheduled time.
Default Warning Times
For a standard 50-minute session, warnings appear at:
- 10 minutes remaining - First color change (yellow)
- 5 minutes remaining - Second warning (orange)
- 2 minutes remaining - Final warning (red)
Customizing Warning Times
Pro users can customize when color changes occur by editing their templates. Go to Templates → Edit → Warning Times to adjust.
Why this works: Research shows that visual cues are less disruptive than verbal time announcements. Clients naturally begin to wrap up their thoughts when they see the color change, without you having to interrupt them.
