Is SessionTimer HIPAA compliant?

SessionTimer doesn't require HIPAA compliance because we don't store any Protected Health Information (PHI). We never collect client names, session notes, diagnoses, or any identifying information. SessionTimer is just a timer—it doesn't know who your clients are.

Will my clients find this weird?

The opposite! In our testing, clients consistently appreciate knowing how much time they have. It helps them prioritize what to discuss and creates a sense of containment. The visual cues feel collaborative rather than clinical.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of your billing period, and you'll automatically be moved to the Free plan.

How does Google Calendar sync work?

Connect your Google Calendar with one click, and SessionTimer automatically imports your appointments. You'll see today's schedule on your dashboard with one-click session start for any event. Calendar syncs every 15 minutes to stay up to date.

What are client reminders?

Pro users can send automated email reminders before sessions. Each reminder includes the session time, any video call links, and custom prep instructions you've added. You control when reminders go out—whether it's 24 hours, 1 hour, or 15 minutes before.

What's the Break Timer?

The Break Timer is a dedicated countdown for your rest periods between sessions. Set your preferred break duration (1-60 minutes), and optionally have it auto-start when a session ends. It helps you actually take those breaks instead of jumping straight into the next client.

What are Daily Summary emails?

At the end of each day, you'll receive an email summarizing your sessions—how many you completed, total time, any overtime minutes, and your on-time percentage. It also shows your current streak and previews tomorrow's schedule. Great for tracking your practice patterns.

How do Badges work?

Badges are achievements you earn for hitting milestones—like completing your first 10 sessions, maintaining a 7-day streak, or hitting 100 on-time sessions. There are 14 badges across bronze, silver, and gold tiers. They appear on your dashboard to celebrate your progress.
